About Me

Hi there! I’m Heather Ayers-Flood, aka Heather AF or Creatif AF. I’m a (mostly) self-taught mixed media artist based in Talent, Oregon. Yes. Seriously, that’s our town name!

I create abstract art using paint, ink, collage, calligraphy, monoprinting and more. One of my favorite fluid mediums is alcohol ink, a completely unpredictable and brilliantly pigmented ink. I also work digitally, using an iPad Pro, and often blend traditional methods with digital.  I’ve had a long-term relationship with my camera, and rarely leave home without some way to capture the world around me. I’m drawn to color, the bolder the better, and find inspiration in my home, the beautiful Pacific Northwest.
